Digging deep to give to those in need

Raising over $955,000 for incredible charities and amazing organizations around the country

At Advisors Excel, we are incredibly blessed to work not only with several of the biggest producers in the country but many of the most generous as well. As we have continued to enjoy increasing success together over the past seven years, we've marked our World Series of Sales event as an annual opportunity to give back, sharing our financial resources with a number of amazing causes and organizations.

The V Foundation for Cancer Research

In 2009, we partnered with Hall of Fame basketball analyst Dick Vitale to raise money for The V Foundation for Cancer Research - started in 1993 to honor Dick's close personal friend, Jim Valvano. From very humble beginnings of Jim's personal friends and family, The V Foundation grew. Today, that circle of friends has expanded and the support structure of The V Foundation includes people of all walks of life, those who knew Jim personally, those who knew of Jim and many who have joined the cause simply because they believe in the possibility of his final wish - to fund research to find cures for cancer. Advisors Excel was grateful to hand Dick Vitale a check for over $100,000 to help in the fight.

Special Operations Warrior Foundation

In 2010, our advisors joined forces with the Special Operations Warrior Foundation - an amazing organization which provides full scholarship grants and counseling to the surviving children of special operations personnel who die in operational or training missions as well as immediate financial assistance to severely wounded special operations personnel and their families. Aboard the U.S.S. Midway in San Diego, we were able to make a difference by offering over $70,000 in raised funds for those who have dutifully served our country and the family members who've been impacted by their service.

Payton’s ‘Play It Forward’ Foundation

In 2011, at World Series of Sales in New Orleans, something amazing happened. Advisors Excel teamed up with New Orleans Saints’ head coach, Sean Payton and the Payton’s ‘Play It Forward’ Foundation. Formed in 2008, the foundation raises funds for organizations working with disadvantaged families and children throughout New Orleans and the Gulf Coast.  Our pooled donations were specifically directed to support the renovation of the North Rampart Community Center in the French Quarter – a beacon of light to over 250 children and their families. The center was devastated by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, and though volunteers made it possible to reopen the doors, much work was still needed to make the center fully operational. Advisors Excel made a difference by donating $100,000 in addition to over $45,000 raised by our advisors, making an enormous impact in the New Orleans community. Funds were used to install new sports turf, add reinforced building supports, improve security features, purchase much needed recreational supplies and replace a wood gym floor dating back to 1920.

Make-A-Wish Foundation®

In 2012, we raised the bar even further, making dreams come true for several children throughout the greater Los Angeles area through the local chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation®. "Granting a child's wish somewhere every 40 minutes," the foundation has made an immeasurable impact in the lives of children and their families, and at World Series of Sales 2012, the Advisors Excel family got the chance to join the cause. Through the generosity of our advisors, owners and staff, we raised over $115,000 and granted dozens of wishes! Diana, a 6 year old living with acute lymphatic leukemia, received her very own iPad. Ella, a beautiful 4 year old girl battling a brain tumor, was given the backyard playground of her dreams. Kyle, a brave 16 year old fighting kidney disease, was sent to Italy to visit the Sistine Chapel. Bella, a wonderful 18 year old battling cancer, was taken on an all-expenses-paid shopping spree for gizmos and gadgets at Best Buy. The stories were incredible, and every one of them was made possible by the kindness and generosity of the Advisors Excel family.

USO (United Service Organizations)

In 2013, Advisors Excel and partnering producers raised a total of $225,000 for the USO (United Service Organizations)  – a nonprofit organization that’s been lifting the spirits of troops and military families around the world for over 70 years. The USO provides our military heroes with a “touch of home” through a number of much needed, morale boosting programs and services.  All of the USO’s programs and services are made possible by the American people, support of corporate partners and the dedication of USO volunteers and staff. AE founders presented the USO with a check at a ceremony hosted at the 50-yard line of Dallas Cowboys Stadium. The presentation was immediately followed by a surprise private concert by country music sensation and avid USO supporter, Toby Keith, as a thank you for all who donated to the cause!

In 2014, AE exceeded that contribution by donating $300,000 once again to the USO in a ceremony at the Washington, D.C. World Series of Sales event held in January.
