Job Duties/responsibilities at Advisors Excel: Angie is the Director of Operations and has been with Advisors Excel since 2010. The main function of her role within the company is to ensure that we are providing top notch customer service to all advisors from the beginning of their process (licensing and contracting) with Advisors Excel to the end (when policies are issued and commissions are paid). We are working as a team to assist you the advisor in all aspects of the process and welcome any calls that you make to us for assistance. Let us be an extension of your current team.

I love working for Advisors Excel because we are treated as individuals, the work environment at Advisors Excel is fast-paced and energetic which provides constant interest and a feeling of accomplishment every day. Hometown/State: Silver Lake, KS

Family:Amy and her husband, Derek, are proud parents to their first child - daughter, Avery.    Amy grew up with her mom, dad and one older sister, Lori.  Between the two families, Amy and Derek have four nieces and three nephews.  Also part of the family is a Springer Spaniel named Daisy. 

Education and Experience: Amy graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor's degree in Education.  Amy went on to earn her Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resource Management from Baker College.  Prior to joining Advisors Excel, she worked in Human Resources at Waddell & Reed in Kansas City for over 10 years. 

Job Duties/Responsibilities at Advisors Excel:
The main function of Amy’s role as Director of Human Resources is to design, organize and implement all HR policies and programs for the company.  This includes recruiting and retaining top talent, organizational development, policy development, employee relations, benefits administration, compensation, health & safety and employee engagement.  Her position is to be an advocate for the company and for the employees and to help make Advisors Excel a unique and exciting place to work! 

When asked what she likes most about working at Advisors Excel, this is what Amy had to say:
I love working for Advisors Excel for many different reasons!  The atmosphere is one of fun and excitement with an energy that I cannot describe.  Every employee at Advisors Excel strives to provide incredible experiences for our agents....and each of these individuals have come together as a family to make Advisors Excel what it is today.  I am so fortunate to be a part of this team; to witness incredible leadership form Derek, David & Cody and to help Advisors Excel continue to grow and succeed even further.

Family:Tamra grew up with her mom, dad and 2 younger sisters in Silver Lake. She has three nieces and three nephews that live within an hour of each other so we get together as much as possible.  She and her husband live in Topeka and have 2 kids:  a daughter, Peyton and a son Gentry. 

Job Duties/responsibilities at Advisors Excel:Tamra is the Executive Assistant to the three Founders of Advisors Excel.  Her responsibilities are to organize and maintain the Founders' calendars, and assist them in their  everyday tasks.  The Founders are very busy and her job is to keep their focus on providing the BEST service to our advisors. 

When asked what she liked most about her job at Advisors Excel, this is what Tamara had to say:
I’ve only been with Advisors Excel since August of 2011; however I feel my experience has been an A+.  I very much enjoy the team oriented atmosphere, as everyone’s willingness to work together to witness our clients succeed, is very powerful!  The energy of my co-workers makes it easy to come to work every day and I love being a part of this DYNAMIC team!!!

Family: Christi is married to Tim, and they have three sons – Andrew, Jon and Ryan.

Job Duties/Responsibilities at Advisors Excel:

As a Team Lead for the New Business Department Christi works with our Agents, their staff and our marketers internally helping to ensure proper execution and application of the annuity new business process.  In this role, she acts as an educator, along with the other leads to our team, to ensure that the process of the application is well understood and to communicate changes as needed to both her team and to the field. Christi answers field questions as they come in and researches when necessary to ensure accurate information is provided. She also helps agents to move money quickly and efficiently so policies can go issued and commissions paid in a timely manner, and she loves to help move money, understanding that this is a key function that the New Business Team offers as policies have to be funded. 

When asked what she liked most about working at Advisors Excel, this is what Christi had to say: 
One of the things I like best about working here is that I was lucky enough to be here since day one as a first employee!  The founders care about the employees and agents alike and the goal as a whole has always been to provide consistent quality service and to always go above and beyond the duties required for the job. They constantly challenge us to do better and I am so proud to work for ADVISORS EXCEL! Each year, we have new and better goals and one of the key messages is always "How can we do this better?” I think to grow in life, you always have to reflect back, considering what we did that was good, and how we could make it better.The rewards are so much more noteworthy this way. 

Also, in my job I am lucky enough to be able to talk with our agents and their office staff and I really enjoy building relationships and getting to know people. I enjoy this aspect of my job and enjoy working with all of the employees here at Advisors Excel as well because we have a great team with a ton of talented people!

Family: Rachel is married to her husband, Greg, and they have three childdren: Dane, Grace, and Josh.

Job Duties/Responsibilities at Advisors Excel:Rachel’s primary responsibility at Advisors Excel is to provide outstanding customer service to all of our agents, agent assistants and their office personnel. She handles requests for processing assistance, follow-up support, problem resolution and anything else an agent may need assistance with. In addition, Rachel assists our internal processing team by providing guidance and training on our new business processes. She truly believes our New Business team is the best in the industry, providing full service to our agents, from the point the application is received in our office until it is issued and paid.

When asked what he liked most about working at Advisors Excel, this is what Rachel had to say:
Working at Advisors Excel is the most rewarding experience. The people I get to interact with daily are absolutely amazing.  Cody, Derek, and David are the most hard working individuals I have ever met or worked with. They all share a common goal to help our advisors be the BEST they can be and that transcends throughout our organization. Family: Kim is married to her husband, Danny, and they have two children - Jack and Harper. They also have two dogs - Jake the Jack Russell and Maddie the lab.

Job duties/responsibilities at Advisors Excel:
Kim is one of the team leads in Annuity New Business and has been with Advisors Excel since March of 2007. Prior to joining AE, she held a simlar role for another FMO for 4 years. Her primary responsibility at Advisors Excel is to provide outstanding customer service to all of our agents and their staff. She helps them with questions on applications, follows up on business, commissions, transfers/rollovers, problem resolution and any other assistance that producers may need on new business. She also helps our internal team in training and questions with processing.  

When asked what she likes most about working at Advisors Excel, this is what Kim had to say: When I first started with Advisors Excel, we had 15 employees. In the four years, we have grown to over 85 employees, but it still feels like a small family. I feel I can still go talk to our owners anytime I need to - they always let me know how important I am to my team and this company. I work with so many great people and I love coming to work every day.

Family: Jada grew up with her mom and dad, and she is the oldest of five siblings. She has twin sisters (just 11 months younger than her), and two brothers.  She also has two nephews, Garrett and Ryan, and two nieces, Alice and Helen. Lastly, Jada owns a 7 year-old playful Boxer named Peanut.

Job Duties/Responsibilities at Advisors Excel:
Jade is of the New Business Leads and has been with the company since 2009. The main function of her role is to assist agents in all aspects of new business from making sure the correct paperwork is submitted to the carrier to helping move money. She fields agent calls with a wide variety of questions.

Family: Holly's amazing parents, Rick and Peggy Gentry, still reside in Rossville, KS with the family dog, Oscar. She has 2 sisters - Lindsey Gentry and Shana Hubbell - whom she considers her best friends. She has a brother-in-law, Doug Hubbell, and the most adorable little niece, Shailee Hubbell.

As a New Business Consultant, Holly’s main function is to process applications, scrubbing them to make sure there are no missing forms or information that the insurance company requires.  Holly wants to make sure that we get all the pertinent information needed to the insurance company in a timely manner so that your business gets issued quickly. A new business case goes through an extensive review, and once it gets to the insurance company, the job of our processors is to make sure that they have everything they need the first time it’s submitted. If there is additional information needed, we relay this message to your office immediately.

Job Duties/Responsibilities at Advisors Excel.
Nicole is responsible for reviewing applications sent in by agents to make sure when the application gets to the carrier, it will not be held up or declined because of errors. Ensuring that our advisors’ business is processed in the most efficient manner falls under Nicole’s daily duties as a New Business Consultant.

Family Information: Sandy is married to her husband, Lee, and they have 3 teenage children - Dylan, Jacob and Morgan.

Job Responsibilities/Duties at Advisors Excel: Sandy is a New Business Consultant on the Follow-Up team for Advisors Excel and recently started with the company in April 2010. She is responsible for reviewing newly entered business policies and contacting carriers and transfer companies to ensure the smoothest transition from application to issue.  One of Sandy’s roles is to maintain good communication lines with the carriers she works with to make sure all requirements are articulated to the agents clearly for the quickest conversion possible for the clients. 

When asked what she likes most about working at Advisors Excel, this is what Sandy had to say:Everyone on the Advisors Excel team is here for a common goal and will unselfishly support the others to maintain the quality of service expected and the goals created.  Management is quick to acknowledge when someone has done a good job and do the utmost to give credit to those who deserve it. Family Information: Drew grew up in Topeka, KS as an only child with just mom and dad.

Job Responsibilities/Duties at Advisors Excel: Drew is a New Business Consultant for Advisors Excel and started with the company in May of 2010. He is responsible for reviewing the applications sent in by agents in order to ensure that when the applications are sent to the carriers that they are not held up or declined. At times, he also follows up with transfers and pending requirements in order to push polices to issue. One of Drew’s roles is to maintain good communication lines with the agents he works with to make sure all the proper paperwork is gathered for a more smooth process for the clients. 

When asked what he likes most about working at Advisors Excel, this is what Drew had to say:  I have never worked for a company that I have loved working for as much as Advisors Excel. I thoroughly enjoy helping solve problems and communicating with agents. Our staff is second to none and management continues to impress me with creative ways of making each person look forward to work every day.

The primary function of her position is to follow up on annuity policies that are in the process of being issued and acting as a liaison for the agent and the companies involved with each policy. Bethany’s role also includes providing agents with current and accurate information, which allows business to be promptly completed.

Rachael is a processor on the New Business team.  She scrubs applications as they come in and work with the agents to submit a complete application to the carrier so their business doesn’t get held up, but completed in a timely matter for their clients.

Cortney’s role includes contracting our advisors with the many different insurance carriers Advisors Excel has to offer. Our licensing department does everything so you don’t have to. Cortney’s goal is to make your life a little easier when appointing your contracts through different carriers.

Family: Loni and her husband, Josh, are enjoying raising their first son, Owen. Loni grew up with her mom, dad and three sisters. She has four nieces (Georgia, Emma, Ella and AaLeyah), two nephews (Dylan and Jake) and of course, the family pet, Zoey.

Job Duties/Responsibilities at Advisors Excel: Loni works in the licensing department at Advisors Excel and has been with the company for a little over two years. Her major job responsibility is to expedite to the licensing/contracting process for our new agents. Hometown/State: Topeka, Kansas

Family:Dani has been married for 5 years to her husband Jesse.  They have a very active 2 ½ year old boy Cooper.   She grew up in Topeka with her mom, dad, sister and brother. They enjoy going to sporting events and hanging out with friends and family.

Job Duties/Responsibilities at Advisors Excel:  
Dani’s role at Advisors Excel is the licensing and contracting of advisors with the many different insurance carriers.  We work with the advisors and the carriers to make sure we have everything for the contracting set up correctly and get them active in a timely manner so that they can focus on their clients.  Dani's goal is to make your life easier and help you in any way possible.

When we asked Dani what she liked most about working at Advisors Excel, this is what she had to say:  
I love working for Advisors Excel because of the family atmosphere.  Everyone that works here really cares about each other and is here to help each other and the advisors.  I also enjoy the sense of accomplishment I feel at the end of the day knowing that I have helped an advisor in some way with his/her business.   

Brooke DeVader

Hometown/State: Emmett, Kansas

Family: Brooke’s family consists of her parents, Marvin DeVader and Cindy Duvall, one brother, Jake, and one sister, Jessica. Brooke’s sister and brother-in-law, Jose, have 3 beautiful children - Xavier, Mia and Tavin.

Job Duties/Responsibilities at Advisors Excel:  
Brooke is a receptionist and office assistant for Advisors Excel. She is one of the first friendly voices you hear or see when you call or visit us. She helps the company accomplish the everyday tasks that help Advisors Excel and our advisors succeed. 

When we asked Brooke what she liked most about working at Advisors Excel, this is what she had to say:  
Advisors Excel is an amazing company to work for because of the people I get to work with at our corporate office. Everyone is excited to come to work every day, and the atmosphere is always positive so it would be nearly impossible to not enjoy my job. Everyone is part of a team from top to bottom, and we all know what it takes to help our clients succeed.
