Security Benefit & Guggenheim Partners make a difference in the life of Rylan Karrer!
11.29.2011
Our friends at Security Benefit and Guggenheim Partners recently arranged for a incredible day of memory making for an 8-year old boy named Rylan Karrer - the son of a staff member in one of Advisors Excel's producer's offices.
Rylan was recently diagnosed with restrictive cardiomyopathy – a rare heart condition in which the heart chambers are unable to properly fill with blood because of stiffness in the heart. The degenerative disorder can trigger a wide range of serious symptoms throughout the body which Rylan is now experiencing. The 8-year old infielder and carefree little boy is now in need of a heart transplant within the next two years. Just a few weeks ago, he overcame a major hurdle, being approved for a listing on the United Network of Sharing - the official heart transplant list.

Then, representatives from SBG and Guggenheim offered him more good news. Rylan and his family were treated to a day of all-access NASCAR at Texas Motor Speedway. Rylan got to ride in the official pace car, and he and his parents were granted a Hot Pass including a pit tour, garage tour and VIP access to pit row during the race!
It was an incredible experience - one that Rylan and his family will cherish forever - and another wonderful example of the kindness and generosity of the SBG and Guggenheim Partners leadership.
Please keep Rylan, his parents, his brother and his two sisters in your thoughts and prayers in the days to come. They face many challenges, but we wish them renewed strength and the absolute best - stay strong, Rylan!
