Jay’s role is to create appointment opportunities for AE producers through national partnerships and marketing opportunities, focusing primarily on the kind of opportunities most advisors can’t create for themselves. Jay and his team handle the entire process: marketing and lead generation, prequalification of prospects, distribution of qualified clients to AE producers and tracking of appointments to a final status.
Prior to joining Advisors Excel, Jay was the deputy director of a 900-person multi-location national call center, leading all the components of the organization, including staffing, metrics and analytics, project management, major IT initiatives and rollouts, national partnerships and account management, and physical facilities. Through this experience, he became an expert in the fields of call and lead management, distribution, tracking and reporting.
Before his work at the call center, Jay worked in economic development, working with banks, corporate entities, cities, counties and private investors to develop housing projects, municipal capital improvement projects and venture capital investments. Jay also has experience working in sales and account management for a Fortune 200 company, as well as work in banking and finance. Jay has degrees in finance and project management.
When not at work, Jay loves spending time with his wife, Lisa, and their four children – three crazy but awesome boys and one really sweet girl. There is also a dog, Griz, and a cat, Lacy. Jay and his wife grew up near the Rocky Mountains and love to get back there as much as they can to hike, fish, hunt, visit family and spend time outside enjoying the beautiful country and being together. Jay also loves to read business, leadership and spiritual books, play the guitar, travel and root for underdog sports teams.
