Jake Klima
Vice President of Marketing

Background:
Previous to Advisors Excel, Jake spent four years running a multi-million dollar service organization.  He drove the organization to smash sales and customer service goals, ultimately increasing profits to record levels.  Jake has also spent several years learning from his father in his business, who has been a financial planner for 25+ years. 

Family Information:
Jake was recently married to his new bride, Kris, who is the Assistant Director of Admissions at Washburn University.  The two of them have their hands full with a young black lab, Tango.

Educational History:
Graduated from Washburn University with a BBA in Management and Marketing and is currently working towards an M.B.A. through Baker University.

Achievement you are most proud of:
While playing at a high level in high school golf, I was one of five people to ever win the regional individual title in our high school’s history my junior year.  During my senior year, I capped off eight years of hard work by finishing in the top 5 in the Regional and top 10 in the State Tournament. I am most proud of these accomplishments because I started playing golf at a later age than most of my competition and it truly is a testament that hard work and perseverance can lead to the top.
