Background:
David was employed by Personalized Brokerage Services (PBS) for five years and moved quickly from an Annuity Marketer into the role of Director of Marketing for the AnnuityMasters.  As Director, he and his team were responsible for growing annuity premium from $500 million to $800 million in just two years.  David also became recognized nationally as a featured speaker on Fixed Indexed Annuities, speaking at Senior Market Expo and Life Insurance Selling Symposium. 

In 2004, David left PBS to begin personal production with Cody Foster. By conducting 30 Senior Seminars and meeting with over 150 clients, that year was an eye opening experience for David and allowed him to walk a mile in an independent agents shoes. That opportunity reshaped numerous opinions and perspectives he previously held regarding the independent agents job.  With this new perspective, along with Cody Foster and Derek Thompson, Advisors Excel was formed in 2005.

David’s time in the office is spent running the operational side of Advisors Excel as well as assisting agents with many of the tough cases which may require advanced strategies. 

Educational History:
Graduated Cum Laude from Washburn University, with a degree in Business Administration, majoring in both Marketing and Management.

Family Information:
David and his wife Karlun celebrated their four year anniversary in September, 2007.  They have a daughter, Chloe, who is becoming a handful as she practices her throwing, running, and jumping skills ALL the time.  At the age of 2 ½ she is a ton of fun. 

Achievement you are most proud of:
My wife and I each had a big picture dream.  My dream was to run a business where I was able to go to work each day and help others improve their life.  Advisors Excel has allowed me to achieve this dream.  My wife, Karlun, had a dream to be a stay at home mom.  My daughter, Chloe, was born November 21, 2007 and Karlun “retired” the week before.  I will say that I am the most proud of being able to achieve Karlun’s dream.
