Cody Foster
Founder

Background:
Cody worked at Personalized Brokerage Services (PBS) for five years and moved quickly from an Annuity Marketer into the role of Director of Agent Marketing Services.  While at PBS, he developed their turn-key seminar marketing program which was used by over 500 advisors. Cody was responsible for training in excess of 1,000 advisors on how to successfully market their business.

In 2004, along with David Callanan, he left to go into personal production.  When they made this decision, they were contacted by Response Mail Express and offered a consulting position to help them develop seminar marketing programs for their top advisors.  While serving in these two roles in 2004, personal producer and marketing consultant, they got the itch to create a marketing organization that offered more to their producers.  In 2005, along with Derek Thompson, Advisors Excel was formed.

Cody plays an integral part in the development and execution of the revolutionary marketing and training systems that Advisors Excel continues to bring to the table for their advisors.

Educational History:
I graduated with a degree in Communications, emphasis on Public Relations and a minor in Marketing from Washburn University.  However, everything I’ve learned happened after college.  Over the past decade I’ve been fortunate enough to spend a lot of time with some of the top advisors in the country.  Being able to see them in action, and understand what drives their business has been invaluable.  Spending time around people more successful than you are will always increase your education, and isn’t something you pick up in a classroom.

Family Information:
Cody, and his wife Jennifer, celebrated their eight year anniversary in September, 2009.  They have, what they consider, the two cutest kids in the world, Dylan, who is 4, and Ella, who is 1.

Some would argue timing is not a strength of Cody’s.  He actually quit his consulting job, and guaranteed salary that went along with that, and started Advisors Excel, dumping in their life savings, on February 1st, 2005, three days before the arrival of their son Dylan.  Fortunately, during the first few years, Jennifer was able to financially support them as an Energy Scheduler at Westar Energy.

In April of 2007, Jennifer received a HUGE career advancement, making the decision to be a stay at-home mom, something Dylan and Ella are very happy for.

Achievement you are most proud of:
Every day when I get home, Dylan meets me in the garage and runs into my arms and gives me a hug and kiss.  When I walk into the house, Ella says “Dadda” like only a one year old can do.  The ability for my wife to stay home with Dylan and Ella and raise them the way we want them raised is without question the achievement I’m most proud of.  There is nothing that can make a man prouder than the unconditional love and support of his family.

Message to Clients:
There is no better field in the world than the financial services field.  The opportunity to have a positive impact and touch so many lives is a very important gift that I hope you don’t take lightly.  I know we don’t.
