Background:
Directly after college, Brad worked as a Programmer Analyst at Payless ShoeSource Corporate office and was instrumental in helping create an advanced reporting system used by the entire Merchandising Department. Looking to pursue something more in line with his interest in the financial industry, Brad joined Advisors Excel in early 2007 and has quickly become an invaluable asset to the advisors he is working with across the country.
Educational History:
Brad Graduated Summa Cum Laude from Emporia State University with a degree in Computer Information Systems from the AASCB nationally accredited School of Business. He holds his life insurance license and has completed the CFP certification program through Kansas State University. His goal is to sit for (and pass) the CFP exam in 2009.
Family Information:
Brad is married to his high school sweetheart Sarah. She teaches 5th grade at Silver Lake Elementary and recently was named as Silver Lake High School’s new Head Volleyball Coach. Sarah is excited about the opportunity to coach at Silver Lake, a perennial volleyball powerhouse, and looks forward to the challenge of continuing to build on the program’s success.
Achievement you are most proud of:
While playing football at Emporia State University, during the last half of his sophomore year, Brad suffered a devastating knee injury. Although competing for a starting spot at the time, he was forced to sit out the entire next season while rehabbing from reconstructive knee surgery. After many hours spent in the weight room rehabbing and the training room’s ice bath, he was able to secure a starting spot at free safety his senior year. All the hard work paid off as he helped lead his team to its first Division II playoff birth in school history and was awarded First Team All-Conference honors at the end of the season.
